It’ll be at the Mach 3+ shop Understory, in Temescal Alley. There will be drinks from Snail Bar and food from Setsunai Snack, along with chunes, Cla$$ified Spyfriend homie-pricing at the shop, special souvenirs & more.

Saturday June 17, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Put it in yr calendar & come through!

“We’re all connected” is some kumbaya s**t that is also profoundly true, and you feel its truth with a particular urgency & concreteness when, say, a fire in one place smokes out mad people who live in other, faraway places. Peace to our NYC Spyfriends, our Eastern-Canadian Spyfriends, our Philly and D.C. Spyfriends, and all the Spyfriends in between and beyond whose beautiful lungs are currently being BESIEGED by wildfire smoke.

And prayers up at the selfsame time for the past and future selves of those of us out here in the Bay, down in L.A., up in Oregon and Washington, down in Australia, and wherever else as the years click by, more places burn, and these ash clouds billow wackly hither & yon. Because the wind, like g-d, knows no border, and we’d do well to learn once and for all that there is no such thing as an over there that can’t and won’t collapse into right here !!
